THE SUCCESS STORY OF VOLODYMYR SHEIKO

Volodymyr Sheiko (Chernihiv region, 58 years old) came to "Modrychi" ten months after suffering a stroke.

Diagnosis: Stroke.

He was using a wheelchair, his left side was non-functional, and he had speech impairments.

Post-stroke impairments (such as the inability to walk independently, speech disorders, and dependency in daily living and self-care) require mandatory rehabilitation. The myth that a stroke patient should remain immobile for 2-3 weeks has long been debunked.

“Time is brain!” - this phrase by American neurologist Camilo Gomez can be considered the motto for stroke treatment. The more time we lose, the fewer chances we have for success.

After two months of rehabilitation, Volodymyr:
✔️ got out of his wheelchair and began moving with the help of a cane, and restored his speech.
✔️ started walking with a cane,
✔️ regained his speech.
