SUCCESS STORY OF ARTEM HAPYCH

Artem Hapych (28 years old, Sumy region, Krylovets) underwent rehabilitation after a tragic accident that led to severe injuries.

Diagnosis: Spinal Cord Injury.

A tree fell on the car Artem was traveling in. It later turned out that there were no warning signs, and the forest was being cleared, which resulted in a terrible tragedy. Only the emergency services managed to rescue the young man and his deceased friend from the wrecked car. Artem was rushed to a district hospital and later transferred to Kyiv.

He was brought to "Modrychi" completely bedridden with a spinal cord injury, dizziness, a fever of 40°C, and an abscess on his back (pus continuously oozed from a 20 cm wound for several days).

In addition to the primary condition, he was diagnosed with a phlegmon of the soft tissues of the back at the level of Th 1-Th 8. Our doctors performed surgical wound debridement, daily dressings, and prolonged antibiotic therapy, which yielded positive results.

After treatment in the intensive care unit, Artem was able to start a more active rehabilitation.

✔️ Within a week and a half, he learned to independently transfer to and from a wheelchair;✔️ Sensation in his hands and partially in his legs was restored;✔️ He acquired the skills of independent wheelchair mobility;✔️ He strengthened his muscles and became more mobile;✔️ He began active training.
